Carl served as a Corporal & Asst. Radio Operator on B-24J #42-50975, 112 Base Unit, Westover Field, Massachusetts, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

Before the war he resided at 1022 Bay Street, Rochester, New York.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on May 16, 1944 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being Single, without dependents.

Carl was declared "Missing In Action" in the "Line of Duty" when his B-24J, that was on a training mission, disappeared at sea 7 miles southwest of Montauk Point, New York during the war.

This record is a "Cenotaph" in his honor.
