Derek Ashley Bell, 23 of Sour Lake, died Saturday May 21, 2011 in Beaumont.
A native of Colorado he had lived in Sour Lake most of his life and was a self employed construction worker.
Derek was preceded in death by grandparents Billy Gibson, Jewell Bell, Glenn Payne, and Charlie Bell. Survivors are his wife Sarah Bell of Sour Lake, parents Michele and step-father E.J. Kelley of Sour Lake, father Phillip Bell of Sour Lake. Father and mother in-law Thomas Glenn and Sandra Payne of Sour Lake, brothers Shawn Frazier and wife Misty of Liberty, Charles Bell and wife Sarah of China. Sisters are Breanna Kelley of Sour Lake, Lisa Payne of Sour Lake, Tiffany Kelley and Melissa Williams both of North Carolina. Grandmother: Mildred Gibson of Willis Tx.
A service of remembrance will be held Thursday May 26, 2011 at 10:00A.M. at The Apostolic Lighthouse church of Sour Lake with Reverend M.D. Miller officiating, interment will follow at the Rosedale cemetery in Sour Lake.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday May 25, 2011 from 5:00P.M. until 9:00P.M. also at the church.
