Hubert Braunell Farrell was born November 19, 1935 at Lindsay, Oklahoma to Hubert Russell and Sylvia Magers Farrell. He died Thursday, August 27, 2009 at Lindsay Municipal Hospital at the age of 73 years.

Braunell had lived in the Maysville area all of his life, graduating from Maysville High School in 1955. During high school, he was an excellent football player, track and field team mate, and participated in the Fort Worth Cowtown Relays.

Braunell had worked various jobs: for Humpty Dumpty, Burford Corporation in the purchasing department, a bookkeeper for Beaver Tool Company and most recently he was employed by the Maysville Schools where he worked as a custodian. Braunell had served as a volunteer on the Maysville Ambulance Service and Maysville Fire Department.

On October 16, 1994 he married Gladys Stroud Selzer at Erin Springs. Braunell enjoyed coaching baseball, mowing lawns, and fishing. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: his special friend, Gladys Selzer of Bradley, Oklahoma. Sons: Bryan "Buzz" Farrell and his wife, Karen of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; Todd Farrell and his wife, Sherrie of Maysville; Donny Farrell and his wife, Cheryl of Washington, Oklahoma. Daughter: Robin McCaleb and her husband, David of Maysville.

A Step-son: Bobby Selzer of Bradley Step-daughter: Cynthia Ferguson of Chickasha Brother: Bobby Joe Farrell of Purcell Sister: Barbara Sanders of Dayton, Texas, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren 8 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchildren and by many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Sylvia Farrell.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, August 31, 2009 at Abundant Love Fellowship, Maysville. Rev. Danny Gamble and Rev. Bill Love will officiate with burial in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
