Dr. Guy D. Chandler, age 73, 109 Brooks Avenue, died at his residence following an illness of only a few hours.
Dr. Chandler was born in Martin County near Alfordsville, January 19, 1890, the son of the late John and Emma (Mathis) Chandler. He married Reba Brown on February 26, 1912, and she survives.
He was a member of the Loogootee Christian Church. He was a retired veterinarian.
A brother, Bruce Chandler, of Vincennes, Indiana, survives. A niece, Mrs. John Swank of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and a nephew, Ralph W. Chandler of Indianapolis, also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Loogootee Christian Church with Brother Elwyn Buche officiating.
Pallbearers were William Mills, Leonard Arvin, Carl Bohn, Otto Fuhrman, James Hughes and Wallace Borders.
