Canadian Country Musician. Peterson bought her first guitar in 1963 and began playing in coffeehouses in and around Toronto. She later begame a member of the folk trio, 'Three's A Crowd' with Bruce Cockburn and David Wiffen. In 1970 she became the vocalist with Mark Spriggs and formed, 'Spriggs And Pringle.' In 1976 she signed with Capitol Records and released a solo album, "Beginning To Feel Like Home." Her other albums are "Souvenirs" (1976), "Colleen" (1977), "Takin' My Boots Off" (1978), "Basie Facts" (1988), and "Let Me Down Easy" (1991). In 1994 as a member of the group, 'Quartette' they won the CCMA for vocal collaboration and a Juno Award later for the album, "No Pain, No Gain." Her last album was released on August 20, 1996. Her many songs include, "Dynamite Rock & Roll," "Go Thru The Motions," "Beginning To Feel Like Home," "Delaney," "Stealing Away," "Bucket To The South," "You Make It Look So Easy," "Startin' Out Clean," "The Closest Thing To You," "Dim Lights," "Thick Smoke And Loud Loud Music," "I Go To Pieces," "Angelina," "Last I Saw You," "Need Your Lovin," "Going Going Gone," "Run To Her," "Maybe It's Love," "One Horse Town," and "Booze The Blues Away." Colleen Peterson died on October 9, 1996, after a battle with cancer. In 2000, she was posthumously honored with a star on Peterborough's Walk of Fame.
