Mr. Craycraft died Sunday in Ball Hospital after an extended illness. A native of Owensville, Ky., he came to the Muncie area in 1950, where he managed Dr. Will C. Moore's farm for 18 years. After retiring from farming, he worked as a custodian at Yorktown Elementary School and Delaware County Home.
Mr. Craycraft more recently lived at 3115 S. Walnut, and was recuperating at Fountainview Nursing Home from a heart attack. He was a member of Four Square Gospel Church.
Survivors in addition to his son include his wife, Rose Belle Blevins Craycraft; another son, Ott Samuel Craycraft, Muncie; six daughters, Mrs. Harry (Betty) Batty, Yorktown, Opal Craycraft, Ethel Brees and Mrs. Vernon (Louise) Blakely, all of Muncie, Mrs. Don (Marie) Gastineau, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Jean Rector, Anderson; two brothers, Clay Craycraft and Woodford Craycraft, both of Frankfort, Ky.; two sisters, Ann Ballard, Middletown, Ohio, and Martha Jones, Orlando, Fla.; 20 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
