Richard Eugene Kerr, Sr., 70, of Ash Grove, Missouri, passed away at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011, in his home. He was born on July 20, 1940, in Danbury, Nebraska, the son of John Hadley and Hannah Margaret (Tilgner) Kerr. Richard worked as a pressman for the Moody Newspaper Company in Louisiana. On June 27, 1975, he married Connie Jo Miller Pelton in Union, Missouri. She survives him of the home.
Additional survivors include: four sons, Jonathan Hadley Kerr of the home, Richard Eugene Kerr, Jr. and his wife, Deborah, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Kenneth Kerr of Chillicothe, Missouri, Kevin Kerr and his wife, Susan, of Springfield, Missouri; three daughters, Karina Clough of Brookfield, Missouri, Kathi Kerr of Chillicothe, Missouri, Kimberli Buckner and her husband, Joe, of Wheeling, Missouri; two sisters, Waunettia Straight and her husband, Walter, of Columbia, Missouri, Irene Keeran and her husband, Max, of Centertown, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
His parents and two brothers, Roger and Charles Kerr preceded him in death.
