Luther Edward Watson ( a k a Edward Luther Watson)my father, was born in 1919 in Kentucky to Wylie Olin Watson (Oland Wiley Watson) and Cynthia Hamilton-Watson. His mother died when he was a teenager. He had two sisters, Mary Belle Watson Conley and Narcia (Norcie) Watson Goble, and one brother Joseph Olin Honeycutt. Joseph was a toddler when their mother died and a local family, the Honeycutts adopted him. It would be well into adulthood when the boys were reunited. Ed served in the US Army for a short number of years. His occupation was working in a dry cleaning business. He married Inez Rose Bingaman on April 3, 1947 in Green Township, Ohio. They had two children, Edward Mark Watson and Cynthia Watson. The marriage ended in divorce.
On August 26, 1960, in Lebanon, Virginia he married the sister of his brother Joe's wife, Rosalee Bailey. Together they had four children, Alan G.Watson , Greta Watson, Julia Watson and Dean F. Watson. He died while Rosalee was pregnant with Dean, in 1967 in Marion Ohio. Luther Edward "Ed" Watson is buried where his father and one of his sisters, Mary Belle Watson Conley are,in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
