WINSTON-SALEM ~ Ella Mae Beck Everidge, 93, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at her home. She was born October 31, 1917 in Forsyth County to William Othy and Mary Elizabeth Broadway Beck. Mrs. Everidge was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School since 1950 and was custodian of the church for over 26 years. She loved reading and writing, cooking, and working in her flower garden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus William Everidge; a son, Arnold Lundie Everidge; and four half brothers. Surviving are one daughter, Phyllis E. Williams of Wilmington; six grandchildren, Tina Parker, Jimmy Reece, Lisa Everidge, Teresa Miller, Michael Reece, Sandi E. Kelley; eight great grandchildren; two step grandchildren, Michelle Dull and Robbie Williams; and three great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, May 22nd at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie Martin and the Rev. Brett Kitko officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Saturday, May 21st at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
