Actor, Director. Associated mostly with television, he was best remembered as the host and director of the popular paranormal series "One Step Beyond" from 1959 to 1961, plus the counterpart "The Next Step Beyond" in 1978. He also hosted "The Alcoa Hour" and directed episodes of "Bachelor Father", "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.", "The Sixth Sense" and "Police Woman". As a performer, he appeared on the TV series "Studio One", "The Philco Television Playhouse", "Kraft Television Theatre" and "Schliz Playhouse of Stars" He died of stoke at age 82 in Los Angeles, California.
