(08/22/2003) Nila Zene Hudson Dikes, age 78, of College Station passed away on August 20, 2003. Mrs. Dikes grew up in Teck, Texas, one of five children of Lemuel and Elmah Hudson. Nila met Reverend Woodrow B. Dikes, her husband-to- be, at Bee Cave Assembly of God where he was her pastor. They were married in 1941 and adopted their two children in 1959 and 1960. Their 53 years of marriage and ministry took them to churches in Bee Cave, Austin, Belton, Kenedy and Snook, Texas. She is survived by her son, Jonathan L. Dikes of College Station; daughter, Anna R. Yanta of Oden, Arkansas; brother, William Albert (Cotton) Hudson of Bee Cave; and sister, Vina Estelle (Ett) Hudson Combs of Bee Creek. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2003, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2003, at Harrell Funeral Home Chapel in Austin. Burial will follow at White Rock Cemetery in Bee Cave.
