US Congressman. He graduated with a law degree from University of Louisville, in 1930, was admitted to the bar and proceeded to practice law in Louisville, Kentucky. He served in the Kentucky State House of Representatives, and was Mayor of Louisville. In 1965, he was elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-ninth Congress, serving until 1967. Not seeking re-election, he served as publisher and president of Lost Cause Press. He died from Alzheimer’s disease at age 83.
