It seems that Mrs. Evans, about 16 years old, was riding in a boat with her two younger sisters, and in some manner the boat was capsized, throwing all into the water. The two children were rescued, but she sank before help could reach her. Her body was recovered about 9 o'clock Tuesday morning.
Though quite young, she was married to Mr. Evans in December, 1919 and had moved with her husband to Tennessee just the preceding Saturday.
