Darrell Brewer, age 58, a lifelong resident of Theodore, AL passed away Friday, May 20, 2011 at his home. He had a ready smile and a friendly outgoing nature. He was always a supportive and sympathetic friend, and in any situation he was always just "Darrell". The southern expression "Good ol' boy" just fit him perfectly. He was also, an avid fan of Alabama Football, Nascar Racing, fishing, hunting, and bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Iris Brewer, brothers Eugene Brewer Jr., and Samuel L. Brewer. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Shelia Brewer, daughter, Mandy (Brian O'Hear) Brewer, brothers Bill (Nancy) Brewer, Douglas (June) Brewer, Arnold Brewer, sisters, Bertha Johnson, Janie (James) Weaver, mother-in-law, Mary "Fred" Warning, sisters and brothers-in-law, Merl Brewer, Dennis Warning, Sherry Warning, Susie Tanner, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and co-workers at Car Quest in Tillman's Corner. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Odyssey Hospice and the care givers that dedicated themselves to his care and comfort. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you make donations to a charity of your choice in Darrell Brewer's name. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 10 am.
