Services Friday For 2 Brothers Killed In Cave

James Clinton Sullivan, age 14 and his brother, Thomas Edward Sullivan, 12, met tragic death on Wednesday, December 12, when they were playing in a dug cave in the Saratoga community and a landslide of dirt caved in upon them. The accident occurred near their home in the late afternoon Both boys were enrolled in Magee High school and were sons of Mr. and Mrs. Van Sullivan of Magee, R. F. D.

Double funeral rites were held on Friday at 2 P. M., from Coat Baptist Church, with Revs. Virgil Davis and Freddie Brister, officiants. Interment was in the Sharon cemetery, with arrangements directed by Mendenhall Funeral Home.

Other than their parents, the boys are survived by five brothers, Van Sullivan, Jr., Jimmy, Vernon Ray, Rickie and Freddie; five sisters, Mrs. Bobbie Nell Shotwell, Mrs. Annelle Waddell, Mrs. Paul Roberts, of Jackson; Mary Evelyn Sullivan and Frances Christine Sullivan of near Magee.

Serving as pall bearers were: James Robert Magee, Harold Adcox, Dock Adcox, John Billy Stubbs, Jimmy McNair, Willie Earl Spell, Harlon Ray Maddox, Cecil Maddox, Ray Smith, Gatha Overby, Jessie; Smith and Paul Sullivan.
