Funeral services for James Madison Rankin, 80, of Rt. 3, Magee, were conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday from the Mims-Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Magee with Interment In the Sharon Cemetery.

Officiating were Rev. Burnice Fleming, Rev. Henderson, Rev, Cortes Everett, and Rev. Wardell Kennedy. Mims-Mitchell Funeral Horn of Magee was in charge.

The Simpson County native died Tuesday, July 14, 1970, at the Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall following a lengthy illness. He was born on July 12, 1890, and was a member of Antioch Methodist Church.

He Is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ardie Anderson Rankin, Rt. 3, Magee; three daughters, Mrs. W. L. Roach, Watsonville, Calif., Mrs. Harris Long, Oxnard, Calif., and Mrs. W. C. Johnson, Mize; two sons, Nelson Rankin, Magee, and Charles Rankin, Pearl; one sister, Mrs. Nancy Birch, Tylertown; one brother, Archie Rankin, Oak Grove, La.; 20 grandchildren; and 25 great grand children.
