William Flickinger

William Flickinger suddenly and unexpectedly died last Sunday about noon after lingering a few hours from the time he was taken down. On Saturday morning he complained some and did not go to work, but stayed about home and lay down a part of the time. On Sunday morning about 4 o'clock he was stricken with paralysis, and lay in an unconscious state till a few minutes past 12 o'clock when he died. From the time he was paralyzed he never moved a muscle. He was 37 years old and leaves a wife and six children to mourn his sudden departure. His funeral was preached in the Hall, on Tuesday, by Revs. Culberson and Paul Weanon. He was buried with Masonic orders at the South West cemetery. The funeral was large. William Flickinger was a good citizen, well respected, and a member of the German Reformed Church.

Masons from Goshen, Milford, Bremen and Wakarusa were in attendance at the funeral of William Flickinger.
