Frank A. (Slick) Johnson, 79, of 458 Coral, died in a local hospital at 1:37 p.m. Saturday. He was born in Pearsall and had lived in Corpus Christi for 33 years. He was a retired division manager for Halliburton Company and had worked there for over 26 years. He was a member of the Corpus Christi Country Club. Survivors include his wife, Bernice Johnson, Corpus Christi; three sons, Frank A. Johnson, Jr., Odem, Roy C. Johnson, Corpus Christi, and Gene Johnson, Friendswood; one niece, Mrs. Louise Castallaw, Carrizo Springs; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday at Cage-Mills Downtown Chapel with Rev. John Flowers, Pastor of Odem United Methodist Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Seaside Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Glover J. Gossett, R.R. Blount, A. J. Herren, Joe Nelms, Joe McCalla, and Joe Tom Pooley. Cage-Mills Downtown Chapel.
