Services were held at the Church of Christ in Portageville Monday afternoon for Herbert Lane of that city, who died at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital on Sunday March 18. The Rev. E.C. Maynard conducted the funeral and burial was in Portageville cemetery, Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home services.
Mr. Lane was born in Lane, Tenn. on February 11, 1908 and was aged 54 years.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Marie Lane, two daughters and three sons, Mary Grace, Lana, Sonny, Herbert L. and Lynn Lane, all of Portageville; and two sisters, Mrs. Neva Stewart of Point Pleasant and Mrs. Henry Tanner of Portageville.
