VINCENT - Jennifer J. "Jenny" Maddox, 64, of Vincent, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 20, 2011, at Heartland of Marietta. She was born Thursday, June 13, 1946, in Marietta to the late Ralph and Corrine Heater Davis.

She graduated from Marietta High School class of 1964, and worked as a machine operator at RJF International until 1998. She married Jerry Maddox on Aug. 10, 1990. She was proud of being an author of children's books relating to history. Jenny founded the Western Washington County Area Historical Society and was involved with numerous other historical societies. She was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award in 2003 from the Ohio Historical Societies & Museums. She was a member of Daughters of American Revolution, Daughters of Union Veterans, and the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem Marietta Shrine #12.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years Jerry Maddox; two daughters, Melissa Brookover (William), and Lorrie Seevers (James) both of Marietta; one son, Scott Patterson of Lowell; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Kylee, Jordan, Wyatt, Wade, Isaac, and Hannah; one sister, Pattie Welch (Jack) of Marietta; and mother-in-law, Edna Maddox.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and her twin, John Davis.

Visitation will be held on Sunday (May 22) at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St. Marietta, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with memorial services at 7:30 p.m. by Marietta Shrine #12 Order of White Shrine of Jerusalem. Funeral Services will be on Monday (May 23) at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Keith Kapple officiating, burial will follow in Barlow Cemetery.
