He served his country as a private in the U. S. Army and went to Korea.
Billy met Wanda Earlene Edwards at Petrolia, Texas on July 5, 1957. It was love at first sight for both of them and they married three months later on October 5, 1957.
They lived most of their over 44 years of married life at Verona Community, Blue Ridge, Texas.
They have four children and four Grandchildren.
Margaret Evelyn Pierce, married David Carl Davis. They have two children; Kristen Michelle and Joshua David.
Billie Rae Pierce, married Kenny Lynn Roach.
Kenneth "Kenny" Wayne Pierce, married Karin Leigh Halter. They have two children; Haleigh Paige and Tyler Austin.
