She was born on Feb. 7, 1965, in Parkersburg, daughter of Barbara (Riffle) Sams of Parkersburg and the late William Sams.
Kim was a 1984 graduate of Parkersburg South High School. She worked in the Surgery Department at Knox Community Hospital. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with friends.
In addition to her mother, Kim is survived by her loving husband, Patrick M. Ferrell, whom she married on July 22, 1985; a son, Ian Ferrell of Howard; a brother, Troy (Becky) Sams of Parkersburg; several aunts and uncles, especially her special aunt, Beverly Graham of Parkersburg; and many nieces and nephews.
In following with Kim's wish, there will be no services.
The family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Rd., Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
