US Veteran of World War 1, Boyd was employed as a clerk in the Pennsylvania Railroad for 47 years. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Railroad American Legion Post. He lived at 1008, Whitby Ave., Yeadon.
He died on Sunday, November 24, 1963 in the Philadelphia Naval Hospital.
Survived by his widow, the former Eugenia Clark; two sons, Boyd A. of Broomall and Richard of Yeadon; a brother Raymond of Yeadon; a sister, Mrs. Dorothea Duncan of Wallingford and seven grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at the George C. Toppitzer Funeral Home, Garrett Road at Lansdowne Ave., Drexel Hill, followed by his burial in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill.
