Sharon Lee Jones, 59, of Georgetown, passed away at 3:37 a.m. Monday (Dec. 9, 2002) at Carle Hospital in Urbana.
She was born April 22, 1943, in Robinson, Ill., the daughter of Clarence and Lillian Grace Nichols Galyen. She had married Robert Keith Jones. Survivors include: two sons, Bryan Jones of Urbana and Kevin (Sandee) Jones of Ridge Farm; one brother, Roy (Alice) Galyen of Georgetown; one sister, Carol (Glenn) Wade of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Karen Jones of Urbana and Ashley and Cody Jones, both of Ridge Farm. She was preceded by her parents.
Sharon was employed by CCL Custom Manufacturing since 1981. She was a member of Local 201B United Steel Workers of America. She enjoyed bluegrass music and gospel singing and she loved her dog Freckles and she also liked native American collectibles. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Funeral services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown; Officiating: Pastor Justin Weber; Burial: Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm; Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the funeral home and also one hour to the funeral service Wednesday
