Jazz Musician. A trumpet player, he was the music arranger for notables such as Count Basie, Jimmie Lunceford, Eddie Fisher and Steve Lawrence. He performed and recorded with legendary Gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt who he met while in Paris with the Air Transport Command during WW2. He was arranger and librarian for the United States Army Band and retired as a Sergeant Major in 1975.
