Julia Rebecca Ralston Kaissling, age 86, former resident of Kansas City, Missouri, and more recently of Gretna, Nebraska, died Saturday, May 14, 2011. She was born on August 21, 1924, in Weston, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Er and Katharine Ralston. Rebecca, known as Becky, married Emil Charles Kaissling on June 16, 1948. Becky was a member of the Good Shepherd Episcopal church and worked as a nurse with the Health Department for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge with friends, and traveling with husband, "Charlie." Survivors include daughter Kathy Lanier and her husband, Gary of Little Rock Arkansas, and son David Kaissling and his wife Kim of Gretna Nebraska; six grandchildren; Julia Kaissling, Stephanie Shelton and her husband Chris, Jaclyn Kaissling, Elizabeth Lanier, Andrew Kaissling and Emily Kaissling; Her brother Jim Ralston, and his wife Helen of Georgetown, South Carolina. Her memorial service was held on Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Southwest Church of Christ in Omaha, Nebraska. Flowers may be sent in Becky Kaissling's name to Silver Ridge Assisted Living at 20332 Hackberry Drive, Gretna, NE 68028, or Memorials to Treasures in Heaven (non- profit organization supporting Safe Home Children's orphanage in Liberia, Africa), 11300 Tomahawk Creek Parkway, Suite 150, Leawood, KS 66211.
