Heather Lynn Owens (1977 - 2011)

Heather Lynn Owens, 33, a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Hurst. Dr. Jeff Burnet will officiate. Private burial: Dallas-Fort Worth National. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.

Heather Lynn, the daughter of Lawrence and Susan Benz Govero, was born May 23, 1977, in St. Louis, Mo. She graduated with honors from both high school and the University of North Texas. She was an ESL teacher in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD. As a member of First Baptist Church of Hurst, Heather had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. Her sweet spirit was an example of love to everyone around her.

Survivors: Husband, Keith R. Owens; children, Joshua Keith, 7, and Emily Mae, 5; parents, Lawrence and Susan Govero; grandmother, Antoinette Govero; sister, Alisa Horn and husband, Jack; in-laws, Robert Owens, Susan Owens, Margaret Owens; aunt, Elaine Govero; uncle, Brian Govero; and nephews, Blake Horn and Oran Owens.
