Oscar's mother, Maacha Adaline Guice Hooter. Married Benjamin F. Clark after his father John S. Hooter died in 1871.

Benjamin Franklin Clark had two pre-teen daughters living with him when he married Maacha, with two young children Oscar Hooter and Mary G. Hooter, moved in with her mothers new husband.

Oscar, Mary G., Susan Abigale, and Clara Celia are all listed in the same household with Benjamin Franklin Clark and wife Maacha Clark in th 1870 Catahoula Parish Census. Nine year old Susan Abigale Clark would later marry her step brother Oscar. There is no blood relation.

Benjamin F. Clark's youngest daughter, Clara Celia Elizabeth Clark would eventually marry Oscar's older brother Edward Doty Hooter.
This makes all of their children double first cousins.

3.) Daughter Amy Elaine Hooter Palmer, born September 14, 1886. Enterprise, Avoyelles County, Louisiana. Married August 26, 1903, Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. Andrew Wesley Lutrick, born January 1882.

7.) Daughter Miriam Mae Hooter, November 10, 1894. Married April 19, 1911, Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. William Andy Clark, born July 16, 1890. Son of Joseph Edwin Clark, and Susan Rebecca Solomon.

10.) Son Howard Lester Hooter, born August 15, 1901, Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. Married January 05, 1928 to Ana Brazadee Reeves, born March 17, 1907 Summerville, La Salle Parish, Louisiana.
