Sergeant Lou Rizzuti, DSN 5875, was commissioned as a Police Officer on 12/06/1965. After the academy he was assigned to the following districts and divisions throughout his career. They were the 9Th, Bench Warrant Section, 9Th, Tactical Anti-Crime Unit, 3Rd, Intelligence Division, Juvenile Division, 9Th, and finally the 2Nd. When he retired on 03/01/2001 he had 35.21 years of service. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on 07/02/1978. During his career he was awarded 7 Letters of Commendation for outstanding police work. Sergeant Rizzuti was also a veteran on the United States Navy and was a Machinist Mate 3Rd Class.
