Mrs. Frances Laswell, 85, of Mt. Vernon, died Mar. 7 at Louisville.
Mrs. Laswell was born in Rockcastle County, the daughter of Robert and Elizie Miller Jones. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Allen, St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Eliza McDaniel, Frankfort, as well as 16 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. One brother, Matt Jones, of Orlando, survives.
Funeral services were conducted Mar. 10 at the First Baptist Church, Mt. Vernon, with Bros. J. William Hall and George Murphy officiating. She was buried in Laswell Cemetery. Sparks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
