Mountain Home – Funeral services for Mabel Donna Cox, 71, of Mountain Home,
formerly of Nampa, who died Wednesday 20 Oct 1982 in a Mountain Home hospital,
will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with Rev.
Gene F. Hipskind, Pastor of the Nampa Church of the Brethren officiating. Chapel
rites will be by the Colfax Rebekah Lodge # 24, Nampa. Private family entombment
will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Building of Reverence.

She was born on 17 Mar 1911 in Boise to Roscoe and Della Bradley. At an early
age she moved with her family to Nampa where she was reared and educated. She
graduated from Nampa High School in 1929. After graduation she attended Link's
School of Business and was employed as Deputy Owyhee County Assessor in Silver
City. She married Joe S. Cox on 18 Aug 1934, and they resided in Nampa. She was
employed as a legal secretary for Earl Garrity in the late 1930's and was a
secretary for Asgrow Seed Company in Nampa during the 1950's and 1960's. She
retired in 1967. She was a member and past Noble Grand of the Colfax Rebekah
Lodge #24 and a member of the Nampa Chapter #30, Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband Joe S. Cox of Mountain Home; one son, Major John
A. Cox of Boise; two daughters, Mrs. F. S. (Jo Ann) Clark of Mountain Home and
Mrs. R. L. (Mary Beth) Lawson of Fairport, NY; and six grandchildren. She is
preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
