Born Leo Raskowski, he was a star football player at Ohio State University, earning All-American honors in 1926 and 1927 and serving as team captain in 1928. He played three seasons in the NFL including a season on the 1933 inaugural roster of the Pittsburgh Steelers, then called the Pittsburgh Pirates. He changed his name to Leo Randall sometime before 1940 and died after a long illness in Vancouver where he had worked as a recreation director.
