Beuford Aaron Morgan
LONGVIEW — Services for Beuford Aaron Morgan, 87, of Longview, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2011, in Welch Funeral Home Chapel, 4619 Judson Road, with Tyler Sams and Carl Allen officiating.
Interment will follow in West Mountain Cemetery. Mr. Morgan died Tuesday, May 17, 2011, in Longview.
Mr. Morgan was born November 14, 1923, in West Mountain, to Harmon M. "H.M." and Monnie White Morgan.
He married Billie Burns on January 19, 1946.
Mr. Morgan was a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
He worked for Texas Eastman for 32 years. Mr. Morgan was a member of Judson Road Church of Christ. He was a song leader many years at various congregations throughout East Texas. He loved his family, singing and "tinkering" with things.
Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Ray Marshal Morgan and Royce Randall Morgan; sisters, Wilma Dean Stewart, Jewel Morgan and Avalene Henry; and granddaughter, Amanda Leah Morgan.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Morgan of Longview; daughter and son-in-law, Dianna K. and David Smith of Nacogdoches; son and daughter-in-law, Michael A. and Sharon Morgan of Wylie; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie J. and Jimmy Allen of Gladewater; son, Brian A. Morgan of Quitman; sisters, Kathleen Drake, Velma Ruth Webb and Laura Frances Miller, all of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Care Team Hospice, 4362 Hwy 259 North, Longview, TX 75605.
The family will receive friends at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011, at Welch Funeral Home.
