Mrs. Suzanne S. Ward, 63, of 715 S. Market St., South Williamsport, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the Valley View Nursing Center, Montoursville, from where she went to be with her Lord and Savior and be with her angel in heaven.
Mrs. Ward had been a member of Memorial Baptist Church at Williamsport.
Suzanne was a graduate of the South Williamsport High School, Class of 1965 and was also a graduate of the former Mansfield State Teachers College, now Mansfield University.
Mrs. Ward had been employed by P.P. & L. as a home economist and later was the coordinator of underground construction. Later, as an entrepreneur, she was the owner and operator of Suzanne's and later Wingrove Ltd. Suzanne was a master chocolate confectioner and candy maker.
Suzanne was a gourmet cook, an accomplished master seamstress, and an artist working in the medium of Russian decorative painting.
Born May, 4, 1947, at Williamsport, she was the only child of the late Carl C. and Virginia D. Wingrove Stabley.
She and her husband, Wilbur Ward, were united in marriage on July 25, 1980. Together they shared 29 years of marriage.
Surviving in addition to her husband at South Williamsport, are her one aunt, four uncles, a great number of cousins and numerous great nieces and grand nephews.
In addition to her late parents, Suzanne was preceded in death by her child, an angel in heaven.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport. Her pastor, Rev. Timothy Kinney, will officiate. Interment will immediately follow at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
There will be no visitation. The family welcomes floral tributes.
