LIEUT GERALD L KERR
The body of the late Gerald L Kerr will arrive in Lufkin at noon Tuesday, April 26, 1949. Lt Kerr born May 24, 1921 had been a resident of Lufkin all of his life. He is a graduate of Lufkin High School and attended Stephen F Austin College
prior to his entrance into the Air Corps in June 1941. He was killed in action over Switzerland, July 12, 1944. He was awarded the Air Metal and was decorated posthumously the Purple Heart.

Services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:pm in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Bill Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery
Military Honors will be under the direction of the Lufkin VFW.
