Stacy was the sixth of ten children born to Lewis Patterson and Lydia Lucinda 'Lou' (Kirkman) Hayes. No known spouse or children.

SOPHIA- Stacy A. Hayes, 88, died Thursday, April 14, 2005, at GrayBrier Nursing and Retirement Center, Trinity.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, Randleman, conducted by the Rev. Jack Clark and Dr. Ron Hamilton. Burial will be in Randolph Memorial Park with military honors.
Mr. Hayes was a native of Randolph County and a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II. He was a retired dairy farmer and a member of Sophia United Church of Christ, where he served in different capacities. Mr. Hayes was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis P. and Lou K. Hayes, five brothers, Roy E. Hayes, Kermit R. Hayes, J. Clarence Hayes, Floyd L. Hayes, Cleo Hayes and one sister, Onie I. Hayes.
Surviving are sisters, Felcie H. Underwood of Asheboro and Dorsie H. Walker of Kernersville; brother Denver F. Hayes of Asheboro; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Pugh Funeral Home, Randleman.
Memorials may be made to Sophia United Church of Christ, 5747 US Hwy. 311, Sophia, NC 27350.
