Lizzie Iloan Smith Rowland, 91, formerly of 9, 4th Ave., Judson, died Aug. 27, 2002, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center.

Born in Patterson County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Walter B. and Mamie Ellison Smith, and widow of Welborn Newton Rowland. She was retired from Carolina Blouse and was a member of Judson Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Hazel Davenport of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Catherine Smith of Pelzer and Mary Schultz of Greenville; three sons, Ben Rowland of Easley, and Alvin Rowland and Stan Rowland, both of Piedmont; two sisters, Maggie Lee Duncan of Easley and Vera Sears of Greenville; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. today at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.

Graveside services will be held at noon Thursday at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Section M.

The family is at their respective homes.
