Daughter of John R. and Mary (nee Brown) Acree. Married (1) James Wimberley ca 1822 or 1823 possibly in Bertie County, NC.

They had the following children:
Mary Emeline Wimberley, b. 10 Oct 1823, married Thomas A. Vinson;
Jacqueline Wimberley, b. 20 Nov 1825, married Edmond J. Vinson;
Laurenna Wimberley, b 14 June 1828, married Vincent Devi Valdi Rowlett;
Parmelia Sylvester Sydney Wimberley, b. 04 Oct 1830, married John Jones;
William R. Wimberly, b. 1833, died 1861, CSA. No issue.
Virginia (Jennie) Wimberley, b. 10 Jan 1836, married (1) George Barrett, (2) Edmond James Vinson;
Sarah Elizabeth Wimberley b. 22 June 1839, married John Marshall Stilley;
John Strawford Petford Wimberley, b. 18 Jan 1841, married (1) Martha Ann Frances Jones, (2) Ida Pool Crisp.
