Nazi German World War II War Criminal. Goebbels said of him (truthfully): 'He bought his name, married his money, and swindled his way into office'. Nazi Ambassador to Britain 1936-38.Organised the Nazi-Soviet pact of 1939 which encouraged Hitler to begin war. An active proponent of the 'Final Solution' he sough to ensure full deportations of Jews from occupied territories to the concentration camps. Found guilty at Nuremberg of war crimes, crimes against humanity and crimes against peace. His remains were cremated in the oven at Dachau concentration camp along with many other Nazi criminals. The ashes were raked out and scattered in Wenzbach/Conwentzbach, a small stream in Munich.
