COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Elise Marilyn Cooper Ellison, 99, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, May 17, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ellison passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011, in Masters Health Care Center in Algood.
She was born Sept. 18, 1911, in Cookeville to the late Perry Glen Cooper and Cora Elizabeth Lee Cooper.
Mrs. Ellison was a member of Sycamore Church of Christ. She did substitute teaching but spent most years as a homemaker caring for her husband and family.
Her family includes a daughter-in-law, Pamela Ellison Tollison and her husband Stacy of Knoxville; a granddaughter, Haley Elizabeth Ellison of Cookeville; and many cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gen. Glynn Claude Ellison, and a son, George Cooper Ellison.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
