1993 graduate of Bloomington High School South, he attended Vincennes University.
Member of the Sons of the American Legion, and Sherwood Oaks Christian Church.

Wife, Erin J. (Richardson) Carpenter of Bloomington;
1 daughter, Kearstyn Alexus Carpenter, at home;
1 son, Travis Bradley Carpenter, at home;
Parents, Gary H. and Kathy Carpenter of Algonquin, Ill.;
Brother, Scott Andrew Carpenter and his wife, Lin, of Galesburg, Ill.;
Grandparents, Harry and Lorene Fowler of Bloomington; Several aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews.
