Oved, son of Stephen Hill and Eliza Jane Wertenberger, was born in late December of 1871 and died a few weeks later in February of 1872.
He was buried in the Hill family cemetery where his grandfather Charles Hill and his great-grandfather Jacob Hill were also buried. Seven years later his father Stephen Hill died and was buried next to Oved's grave. Oved is the only member of the fourth generation of Hills to be buried here. His mother remarried Thomas Gamble after Stephen's death and she with all four of Oved's siblings are buried three miles away in South Pleasant Cemetery which was on a corner of the Gamble farm.
