Naomi Ruth Beasley Clubb, 74, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011. She was a native of the Meadow Fork Community in Madison County, but was a resident of Buncombe County for 50 years. She was the daughter of the late Verge and Minela Beasley. In addition, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford A. Clubb and two sisters, Cumi McClendon and Imogene Queen.

She was employed by Roses Department Stores for 20 years and later retired from Wal-Mart after 14 years of service in the East Asheville location. She was a member of Keenersville Christian Church and attended Beverly Hills Baptist Church in Asheville, where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday school class.

She is survived by a daughter, Patty Clubb of Asheville; granddaughter, Emma Whitney, and a sister, Gayle Stockton of Alexander.

Funeral services will be at Beverly Hills Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. William D. King officiating. Interment will follow in the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
