Clara Sue Belcher, age 68, of Enid Oklahoma, died Sunday, November 28, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Enid after a valiant fight against pulmonary fibrosis and is now with the Lord.

Clara was born in Davy, West Virginia, June 20, 1942, to Herman Paul and Eva M Hanners. She graduated from Welch High School in Welch, West Virginia in 1960 and many years later attended Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma. In 1965 she met and married Gerald, her husband and best friend for over 45 years. She had two children and five grandchildren all of which were her greatest joy. She was a deeply devoted mother and grandmother to her entire family and a caregiver to all.

As a military wife Clara worked a variety of jobs to help support the family until her husband retired in 1980 in Enid. She then went to work as a Civil Servant at Vance AFB before retiring in 2002 after 22 years of dedicated service.

Clara enjoyed spending time with family and friends and especially cherished every moment with her grandchildren that she was so proud of. Her interests included cooking, scrap booking, traveling and sewing. She was also known to enjoy a little shopping from time to time.

Clara is survived by her husband Gerald; her son Paul and his wife Megan and their two children Katherine and Nathaniel; her son Michael and his three children Cody, Mason, and Madelyn; her sister Malinda and her children Mary and Robbie.

The funeral service will be held at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 2 at 2:00 pm with interment at Enid Cemetery. Rev Don Tines will officiate. A time of visitation will be held at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home on Thursday, December 2 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for friends and family.
