Louise Wergin, 93, formerly of Casco, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011.

She was born Aug. 25, 1917, in Newton, to the late Frank and Susan (Pitsch) Glomski.

Louise married John Wergin on July 3, 1940, at St. Casimir Church, Nordheim. John preceded her in death on March 22, 1989.

Louise lived in Manitowoc, until moving to Casco, where, along with her husband, they owned and operated a tavern in the village. She later was cook at Holy Trinity Catholic School for 22 years. Louise was Casco Village Treasurer for 22 years, was a member of the Catholic Knights, Lady Catholic Foresters, Altar Society and was a Kewaunee County Deputy.

She is survived by two sons and three daughters-in-law, Jim (Marge) Wergin, Green Bay; Mike (Amy) Wergin, Manitowoc; Cheryl Wergin, Chicago; grandchildren, Jenny Charles, Julie Wergin, Kelly Wergin, Barbara (Alberto) Bobadilla, Nick Wergin; great-grandchildren, Isabel, Juliet, Abigail, Molly, Maddy; foster great-grandchildren, Lee and Billy; sister-in-law, Lucy Hendries; nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by a son, Frank Wergin; a grandson, Andrew Wergin; one brother and five sisters.

Friends may call at Wiesner-Massart, Casco, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, and again Thursday morning at the funeral home until 10:15 a. m. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Casco, with Fr. Jim Massart officiating. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
