Ira Curtis Rowley, 82, died during his sleep about 5:30 am Friday at his home, 723 Thirtieth street.
Mr. Rowley was a retired employee of the Hope Natural Gas company, with which he had been employed all his life. He was a member of the Sisterville Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Rowley; six children, Gilbert A. Rowley, Parkersburg, Joe, Logan, O.; Mrs. Ruth Richardson, Sisterville, and Mrs. Raymond Arnott, Sandusky, O.; six step-children, Robert and Howard Pierce, Parkersburg, Mrs Arthur Cain, Wheeling; Mrs. Lloyd Ferrell, Vienna; Carroll White, California; and Carlyle White, Brownsville, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Moreland, Columbus, O.; 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday at the Vaughn funeral home. Burial will be in the Herndon Chapel Cemetary.
