Inez M. Miller, age 93, of Rice Lake died Saturday,November 30, 2013 at the Rice Lake Convalescent Center. She was born December 17, 1919 in Rice Lake, WI to Oscar and Marie (Roen) Peterson. Inez married Melvin R. Miller in St. Paul, MN on August 21, 1939. He preceded her in death on May 28, 2011.
As a mother and grandmother, she leaves us the greatest heritage of all through her love. What a privilege to have had her as a mother and grandmother, and we recognize and appreciate the sacrifices she made. We will always admire and respect her for her ability to really listen, to teach us by her example, to love unconditionally. "When everyone is happy, Grandma is happy."
She is survived by sons: Ron (Pat) Miller of Barron; Jim (Corine) Miller of Casper, WY; Chester (Judy) Miller of Barron; daughters: Jan (Bob) Steinhorst of Portage; Lori (Gary) Scheffel of Shell Lake; son-in-law Bill Hammann of Cameron; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daugher Sherry Hammann, her son Calvin Miller and 2 grandsons, Kelly Hammann and Kirk Erickson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 4 at Maranatha Evangelical Free Church in Rice Lake, WI with Pastor Paul Green officiating. Burial will be in Swede Cemetery in Rice Lake Township. Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until 1:00 PM at the church.
