He was born August 30, 1927 in Peoria, IL, the son of D. L. and Emma Ryan Graham. He married Lois M. Hanson on November 29, 1953 in Woodhull, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are 4 daughters, Connie Graham, Lakeland, FL, Cynthia (and Mark) Spencer, Sarasota, Colleen Graham, Bradenton, FL, and Michele (and Brad) Nadborne, North Manchester, IN, a grandson, Sean Spencer, Sarasota, a granddaughter, Mia Nadborne, North Manchester, and a niece, Kathy Sayrs, Galesburg. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rosamond Sayrs.
He was a retired brakeman for the Burlington Northern Railroad. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1945 and was a member of the GHS Basketball Hall of Fame. He attended Western Illinois University. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Alpha Masonic Lodge #155, and Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285. He was an avid sports fan.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Funeral will be 11 AM Saturday January 20, 2007 in Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. Tom Larsen will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 AM Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Rites by Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285. Memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
