Mr. Ed Baethke, 77, a beloved husband, grandfather and dad, joined the Lord Saturday May 14, 2011. For him to live was Christ, to die is gain. How glorious eternity will be together!
Mr. Baethke was a native of Oak Park, IL and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors are his wife, Barbara H. Baethke of St. Simons Island, three daughters, a step-daughter, two step-sons, a sister and a brother, and nine grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church on St. Simons with Rev. Paul Elbert officiating.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Lord of Life Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 2801 Frederica Rd., St. Simons Island, Ga., 31522.
