She was born on March 9, 1933 in Plainfield Township of Kent County, Michigan to Peter J. and Zoa (Randall) Wondergem and they preceded her in death.
Betty graduated from Rockford High School in 1951 and was a stay at home wife and mother. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cadillac for over 50 years. She enjoyed reading, flowers, square dancing in her younger and healthier years, and had a collection of Teddy Bears that each had a name.
On September 29, 1953 she married Robert L. Dell at her parents home and he survives her along with their daughter, Becky (Norman) Schneiderman of Halifax, Nova Scotia; step-grandson, Wolf Schneiderman; a brother, Harold Wondergem of Rio Hondo, Texas.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church in Cadillac with Reverend Paul Tomlinson officiating. Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery in Plainfield Township of Kent County with Reverend Tom Kysor officiating. Friends may meet the family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac.
